Altea - old town

Altea is a very nice town north of Benidorm, approx. 15 miles north of Los Alcázares

Sun and bath like all coastal towns, but mainly a fantastic old town.

 

At the top of the hill sits the Parroquiz de Nuestra Senora del Consuelo church with its blue domes.

Around the church there is a square with a nice view and a number of good restaurants, including the Guide Michelin-awarded Restaurante La Capella. We tried the nice Italian restaurant Little Italy. Good food at quite ok prices despite the location.

 

The old town of Altea also has many different galleries and small shops.
