La Marquesa

La Marquesa Golf was founded and designed in 1989 by Mr. Justo Quesada, under the name "Quesada Golf Club". Thanks to its proximity to Alicante, the course quickly gained a significant number of partners, and at some points it was estimated that 80% of the players in the province had hit their first shots there. In 1994, the course changed its name to "La Marquesa Golf & Country Club", a name that became known throughout Europe thanks to the real estate project of the Quesada family, an ambitious housing project called Ciudad Quesada, a large urbanization with more than 15,000 homes around the golf course. It was precisely the international character of the urbanization that gave La Marquesa Golf such a cosmopolitan touch. It's incredible to see how cross-border friendships could emerge. Over the years, there have been important changes, technical improvements and design, always respecting the principle of offering a varied course, where the player can, in addition to practicing his favorite sport, have fun. The most recent change is that all holes have been given a name that should remind of the character.

For example, the 2nd, El Corazón - The Heart
A medium length par 5, Out-of-bounds to the right, narrow fairway, noticeable slope to the left, good reason to keep left on the tee. Others are blind and you should continue to keep to the left. The green is widened and high at the back, fittingly heart-shaped, with the entrance protected by bunkers. One of the course's more difficult greens with sharp undulations.
