Terra Mitica

4-5 miles north of Alicante, just inside the old party metropolis Benidorm, is an amusement park called Terra Mitica. It has been closed during the pandemic but is expected to open by June 2022.

 

The theme is ancient Mediterranean civilizations. Both shows and rides are offered. It is therefore not a distinct swimming park, but is mixed with other things. There is a large swimming area with jacuzzis, slides and waterfalls. The rides are of course mostly water-oriented, such as a similar Kållerado on Liseberg in Gothenburg. A number of regular carousels and radio cars are also available.

 

It is well worth a full-day visit for families with children. There are plenty of restaurants in the area and when we were there you weren't allowed to bring in a cooler with food - we had to leave it in the car
